Adding Style To A Wedding

A couple’s wedding day should be a special day to remember. This is why people will go to any lengths to make it a grand occasion. They will choose the best dress, venue, food, music and flowers to make their day an unforgettable one. However, it is often the little things that can make a wedding unforgettable.
When meeting with the coordinator at your wedding venue, they will likely offer one or two choices of tablecloths and napkins. These are often either white or cream. Most brides today are developing their own color scheme and plan most details of the wedding around these colors. It is possible either to request a certain color of tablecloth and napkins from the venue, since they will likely have a company they work with, or to rent these separately from another company. Having matching tablecloths and napkins adds a distinct touch of elegance to the reception site. It is possible to go one step further and add chair covers in the same or complementing color. This is an addition that people probably wouldn’t notice if it wasn’t there, but definitely notice when it is. These help to tie the reception room and color scheme together.
Traditionally, you will have water goblets placed on the tables. An inexpensive addition would be to add a lemon wheel to every glass. When it comes to the champagne toast, ensure that there is a fresh strawberry added. Both of these small additions will make the drinks look and taste fantastic. It will also impress the guests that you have spent much thought into the little things whilst planning.
One of the best parts of the wedding reception is the food. People look forward to having the delicious, and often expensive, food that comes out at a wedding. Surprise the guests with some little extras that come before and after dinner. It is becoming popular to offer a drink fountain during the cocktail hour. Traditionally, these drinks are often a single type of liquor mixed with either juice or soda. Mix it up a bit by offering something fancier such as a margarita fountain. It is also becoming popular to offer a pasta station during the cocktail hour. This is a small table set with a server, offering two or three different pastas with two or three different sauces. It is a great way to stave off the hunger before dinner is served. After dinner, consider offering a coffee buffet rather than straight coffee or decaf. These additions are not terribly expensive, but all the guests will remember them.
Setting the stage with special extras is the best way to create a memorable and elegant wedding. Try to tie in the color scheme by renting matching table linens and chair covers. Add lemon wheels to water goblets and strawberries to champagne flutes. Offer special additions before and after dinner such as a drink fountain, pasta station, or coffee buffet. Choose one or all of these recommendations to have a truly elegant wedding.
